Annual Planning

Once a year, your leadership team steps back to assess the full year, update your V/TO, and set the plan for the next 12 months. Come prepared to make the most of two full days.

Planning Your Annual
Planning Your Annual
📌

The Annual is unlike any other session in your EOS journey. Two full days, away from the office, with your leadership team — no distractions, no interruptions, no spouses or children. This isn't a company retreat. It's a focused working session where your team steps back from the day-to-day to assess where you've been, get honest about where you are, and align on where you're going for the next 12 months. The teams that treat this session with the seriousness it deserves come out sharper, more aligned, and more committed than they walked in. Block both days completely. Stay overnight as a team if you can — the conversations that happen outside the session room are often just as valuable as what happens inside it. This is your chance to invest in your team and your business at the same time. Don't shortchange it.

Review the Annual Planning Tips & Guide
Notify Katie at least 60 days prior to the Annual — confirm the location, whether travel is required, and all logistical information so she can plan accordingly
Block two full days for all leadership team members — no half-days, no early departures
Before Your Annual
Preparing for Your Annual
Complete the Annual Pre-Session Planner and bring it to the session — a good Clarity Break while filling this out will help you come fully prepared

At least 48 hours before the session — email Katie your Rock Sheet, Accountability Chart, Scorecard, and V/TO, or confirm it is updated in your software

EOS Model®

EOS Model®

A visual illustration of the Six Key Components™ of any business that must be managed and strengthened to be a great business.

Overview
What is the EOS Model?

The EOS Model provides a visual illustration of the Six Key Components™ of any business that must be managed and strengthened to be a great business. This model applies to big and small businesses alike, in any industry.

What does it mean to strengthen a Key Component? EOS measures strength in each Component on a scale of 0–100%. The goal is to get every Component to at least 80% strong. When all six are strong, symptomatic issues fade away and the company operates in the top 5% of performers.

Not sure where your company stands? Take the Organizational Checkup to measure your strength across all six Key Components.

The Five Leadership Abilities

The Five Leadership Abilities

Simplify, Delegate, Predict, Systemize, and Structure — the five essential skills that help leaders break through organizational growth plateaus.

Overview
What are the Five Leadership Abilities?

The EOS Five Leadership Abilities are essential skills designed to help leaders break through organizational "ceilings" — the growth plateaus that stall even well-run companies. Mastering these abilities allows leaders to move from chaos to control, fostering sustainable growth by focusing on clarity, efficiency, and strategic foresight.

Simplify
The ability to boil complex issues down to their essence, eliminating unnecessary complexity to focus on what matters.
Delegate
The capacity to "delegate and elevate" — letting go of tasks outside your Unique Ability to free yourself for higher-impact work.
Predict
The skill of forecasting future needs, challenges, and trends to make better long-term and short-term decisions. Often the most overlooked ability.
Systemize
The practice of documenting and enforcing core processes to make the business consistent, efficient, and scalable.
Structure
The ability to design an Accountability Chart with the right people in the right seats, eliminating role overlap.
V/TO®

V/TO®

A two-page strategic planning tool that captures your company's entire vision and execution plan — where you're going and how you'll get there.

Overview
What is the V/TO?

A Vision/Traction Organizer™ (V/TO™) is a two-page strategic planning template designed to capture a company's entire vision and execution plan. It enables leadership teams to align on eight key areas — from core values to quarterly goals — turning high-level strategy into actionable, documented steps.

LMA®

LMA®

Leadership + Management = Accountability. The foundational framework for building strong, aligned, high-performing teams.

Leadership
Setting a clear vision, providing direction, and ensuring your team understands where the company is going.
Management
Giving your team the right tools, processes, and regular feedback to succeed in their specific roles.
Accountability
